Danish racer Leon Madsen continued to push his claim for a Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations start after bagging 13 points for Czestochowa as they beat visitors Lublin 52-38 on Friday.

Despite a third place in his opener, Madsen maintained his lightening start to the 2019 PGE Ekstraliga season by rattling off four victories.

Swedish star Freddie Lindgren backed him up on 12 paid 13 points, with Matej Zagar tallying 10 paid 11 and Adrian Miedzinski scoring six paid nine.

Early-season surprise package Pawel Miesiac delivered another big display for Lublin on 12 points, while Mikkel Michelsen added 11 paid 12.

Elsewhere, Slovak star Martin Vaculik raced to 11 paid 13 points, winning heat 15 to seal Zielona Gora a slender 46-44 win at home to Grudziadz. SGP racer Patryk Dudek notched nine paid 10, with Nicki Pedersen scoring seven.

It was a strong return to the shale for Russian racer Artem Laguta, who recorded 11 points for Grudziadz after returning from a broken collarbone.

Poland’s Krzysztof Buczkowski topped the scorechart on 12 paid 14. Kenneth Bjerre tallied 10 paid 11, but it was a tough night for Antonio Lindback, who scored three.

Champions Leszno host Gorzow on Sunday, before Wroclaw welcome Torun to the Olympic Stadium.
