Seven-time Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen confirms he has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Gorzow star sat out the club’s PGE Ekstraliga play-off final decider at Leszno on Sunday due to a broken rib suffered in the semi-final against Wroclaw at Edward Jancarz Stadium on October 4.
Iversen was kept in hospital for observation before being discharged, but it’s unclear where he contracted the virus.
Just to let everyone know, I have tested positive for Covid-19. Symptoms are small and I feel okay at this stage. So isolation it is for now.

The news comes as another blow at the end of what has been a luckless season for the 38-year-old.
He started the delayed season on the injured list after crashing in a practice race with world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik at Gorzow in May.
Iversen then suffered a broken hand while trying to round Lublin’s Matej Zagar in his first home meeting with Gorzow in early August.
After undergoing surgery, he fought back in time for the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, but lost his place in the World Championship after finishing 13th with 32 points.
His SGP season ended with a crash at FST Grupa Brokerska Torun SGP round eight on October 3, before he was run over by Tai Woffinden in Gorzow 24 hours later, suffering a broken rib.
Everyone at SpeedwayGP.com wishes Niels a very speedy recovery and a much luckier 2021!
