The 2020 Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations world champions will be crowned at Polish venue Lublin on October 16 and 17.
The Final was switched from Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium due to increased Covid-19 control measures across the UK, with the venue now staging the 2021 Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations Final.
This year’s title-decider is set to take place at one of the sport’s fastest-growing clubs. Motor Lublin staged Polish Second Division action as recently as 2017, before back-to-back promotions saw them join the PGE Ekstraliga for the first time in 2019.
I strongly believe that our fans will create an unforgettable atmosphere for the riders and prove that they truly are the best fans in the world. I cordially invite everyone to join us in Lublin. It will be a true festival of speedway.

The club fell just one point short of play-off qualification following an exciting campaign this year. But the city’s speedway season will still end on a huge high as host nation Poland seeks its first SON world title, taking on champions Russia, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Great Britain and the Czech Republic in the ultimate test of team riding.
In a year which has seen capacities at Polish stadiums limited to ensure effective social distancing, Lublin’s fans have found global fame with their unique ‘sky section’.
Images of supporters cheering on their heroes from cranes have reached media outlets all over the world, and Paul Bellamy, Senior Vice President of Motorsports Events at IMG, looks forward to bringing speedway’s biggest team event to the city.
He said: “In these strange times, it’s incredible to see the lengths Lublin fans have gone to in their effort to support their club. I’m sure they will create a very special atmosphere once again as the Polish team goes for gold.
“I’m sure we are in for a very competitive weekend of action. The Russians have won the title two years on the bounce, but a host of nations will be determined to claim the final major prize of 2020.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Lublin for their efforts to stage this event at relatively short notice. My team and I look forward to working with them to bring down the curtain on the 2020 season with two nights of fantastic speedway.”
Jakub Kepa, chairman of the board at Speedway Lublin S.A, said: “I couldn't be more proud that Lublin is hosting the Final of the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations and I’m excited about the challenge that awaits both my city and my club.
“For the first time in our history, an event of such a high rank is taking place in Lublin and I am sure that we, as a club, will do our best to cope with all the organisational challenges.
“I strongly believe that our fans will create an unforgettable atmosphere for the riders and prove that they truly are the best fans in the world. I cordially invite everyone to join us in Lublin. It will be a true festival of speedway.”
