World No.2 Bartosz Zmarzlik blazed to a huge 21-point haul in the Danish Speedway League on Wednesday.

World No.2 Bartosz Zmarzlik blazed to a huge 21-point haul in the Danish Speedway League on Wednesday.

The Pole starred for Slangerup as they went down 47-40 at Holsted in the opening match of the new Danish league season.

But he didn’t end the night with a maximum as three of his points came from a tactical ride in heat 10, with Holsted duo Nicki Pedersen and Rene Bach blotting his scorecard in race one and Pedersen beating him again in heat four.

Otherwise, it was the perfect warm-up for a man who will be representing his country alongside Maciej Janowski in the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations in Landshut on May 4.

Pedersen impressed on his home track with 15 points from six outings as only Zmarzlik got the better of the in-form triple world champion.
