Former Danish SGP wild card Anders Thomsen booked his place in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix qualifiers after winning Denmark national round in Outrup on Saturday.

Thomsen topped the podium on 13 points after winning three of his four outings, with only Mikkel Michelsen and Nicolai Klindt getting the better of him in race seven.

He’s joined in making it through to the international rounds by former SGP duo Hans Andersen and Kenneth Bjerre, who bagged 12 each, with Andersen winning a run-off for second place.

Bjarne Pedersen finished third on 10 points. The former world No.6 opted out of entering the SGP international rounds, but will compete for a Speedway European Championship place.

The remaining two SGP spots went to Mikkel Bech and Mikkel Michelsen, who racked up nine points apiece.

Current SGP star and Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen surprisingly missed the cut on eight, but has been handed a wild card for the SGP qualification semis by Danish federation, the DMU.

Peter Kildemand and Frederik Jakobsen, who also scored eight, join Pedersen in the SEC rounds along with Michael Jepsen Jensen, who was handed a wild card by the DMU.
