Martin Vaculik

Slovakia’s first and only FIM Speedway Grand Prix rider quickly made an impression on the sport’s biggest stage when he won the 2012 Gorzow SGP on his debut. After racing a full SGP season in 2013, Vaculik spent three years out of the SGP spotlight, before re-qualifying for 2017 and winning on his comeback at the Slovenian SGP in Krsko. He defied a serious ankle injury in 2018 to get back on track and win the Gorzow SGP, stylishly passing Bartosz Zmarzlik in the final. Vaculik raced to his best-ever finish when he claimed fifth place in SGP 2019. Now he’s out to become Slovakia’s first world champion.
